Job description

Are you a technically minded person with a passion for tinkering and travelling? Then this role is for you! We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Service & Support team, who will mainly be working on-site carrying out repairs on trailers for specialised and heavy-duty transport. 

 

As a Field Service Engineer, you will mainly work on site, but you will also occasionally be working in our workshop. Your duties will include: 

  • Carrying out maintenance and repair work at customer sites, within Europe and occasionally beyond; 

  • Diagnosing technical problems and carrying out appropriate repairs on site; 

  • Providing technical support to customers, including advice on the use and maintenance of trailers; 

  • Additionally, carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs on trailers in the workshop.

Job requirements

  • At least a vocational qualification (MBO) in a technical field, such as Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Agricultural Mechanisation. 

  • Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers;  

  • Experience as a mechanic, preferably as a field service engineer; 

  • Proficiency in English and German, both spoken and written, or a willingness to undertake language training;  

  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems;  

  • Welding experience, preferably with certification, or a willingness to undertake a course;  

  • Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally beyond;  

  • You enjoy tinkering, are hands-on and have a sense of responsibility;  

  • Hold a Category B (and CE) driving licence;
